This is a great space to write a long text about your company and your services. You can use this space to go into a little more detail about your company. Talk about your team and what services you provide. Tell your visitors the story of how you came up with the idea for your business and what makes you different from your competitors. Make your company stand out and show your visitors who you are.
ABOUT
My Platform
EQUITY AND DIVERSITY
2
I will support the newly-formed Racial Equity Task Force and vote to approve the implementation of their recommendations. I will also propose that the School Committee discuss the creation of a task force to investigate similar issues facing our LGBTQIA community.
ELEMENTARY READING PROGRAM
I will advocate for a stand-alone systematic sequential reading program that focuses on foundational reading skills in K-5 (phonemic awareness; explicit, systematic, structured phonics; morphology and fluency; and language comprehension, vocabulary, and reading comprehension).
4
REDUCED AND EQUITABLE
CLASS SIZES
I will advocate for reduced maximum class sizes and equitable class sizes across all of our schools, as well as more precise language regarding maximum allowable class sizes in
the teacher’s contract.
5
EXPANDED OPTIONS AT MVTHS
I will advocate for expanding program options at MVTHS, by surveying students and parents, and looking at programs with high enrollment (e.g. dental hygienist, plumbing) at other vocational-technical high schools in Massachusetts.
6
EXPANDED WORLD LANGUAGE OPTIONS
3
COUNSELING/MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
I will advocate for increasing the number of staff who provide counseling/mental health services at every MPS school.
I will advocate for expanded options for World Language classes at the Middle Schools and High School (e.g., German, Mandarin, Latin, American Sign Language).
